It's not the first time I've dealt with sadness. I can't lie when I say I've tried all I can possibly try with making myself happier. This includes gym, meditation, and even talking with a therapist. With every one of the things listed above great ways to uplift my spirit, once in a while I find myself still down and depressed. But why is that?

The Mental Health America states that "the more severe the depression, the harder it is for you brain to come back." Plus, depression is really hard to fight off when you're constantly going through something: stress, feeling alone or lack of support.

But let me tell you something: the first step is getting up and treating it. I know, it's hard. It's really hard. Laying in bed sounds like the only substantial thing to do. What's the point in responding to people? They don't care anyways.

No.

Get up. As cliche as it sounds, you can do it! You can get up. You can get up. You will be better. And even if you relapse, you can always go back to what you know works for you. I believe in you.

I believe in you.
